Dorothy is the perfect blend of cozy cuddles, happy wiggles, and a heart full of love! At 2.5 years old, this sweet girl stole hearts with her gentle personality, love for soft blankets, and the little things that made her so special. Whether she was snuggled up in a cozy bed with her people and foster brother or happily playing with her favorite toys, Dorothy reminded us that the best things in life are often the simplest.

Although she was generally a relaxed, easygoing girl, Dorothy had the cutest way of showing her excitement. When she was happy, she would spin and sneeze, bringing a smile to everyone around her. She enjoyed leisurely walks, wearing her harness, and even dressing up in sweaters and outfits! With patience, treats, and positive reinforcement, she continued building confidence and learning to trust the people around her.

During her time in foster care, Dorothy blossomed as she discovered the comforts of home life. She learned her routines, practiced her manners, enjoyed cuddles with her foster brother, and showed just how much love she had to give. She was a wonderful reminder that every pet deserves the chance to feel safe, cherished, and at home.

Dorothy’s Happy Ending: Dorothy found her forever family! Her journey didn’t end when she was adopted, either. With the love and commitment of her new family, Dorothy went on to complete her heartworm treatment through BARC in Houston. We couldn't be happier that she got her second chance at a beautiful life, surrounded by people who were willing to love her through every step of the journey.
